Representatives from the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty will attend as registered observers the fifth and final planned meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5) in Busan, Republic of Korea, between 25 November and 1 December 2024.
While a larger number of endorsing organisations will be present in Busan, you can approach the following company representatives as spokespeople for the Business Coalition during INC-5:
We welcome and support the efforts of the INC Chair to facilitate informal consultations amongst governments ahead of INC-5, and recommend accepting the 3rd iteration of his ‘Non Paper’ as the basis for negotiations in Busan. However, government delegations need to significantly strengthen the proposed draft treaty text during the negotiations in Busan.
